| The Boer War |
| After the Boers (Dutch setlers in South Africa) moved to their Orange Free State, which was north of their original settlement and out of the way of British Imperialism, it was discovered that their new land held an abundance of valuable natural resources. The British recieved news of this and attempted to take the land for themselves. They and a tribe of African wariors waged a war agianst the Boers, in which they suffered a heavy and humiliating defeat, with very few Boer casualties. |
